What is Sober Living?

Sober living homes, also known as recovery homes, recovery houses, etc. are houses for people who have just finished addiction treatment to have a safe environment to live in for a varying amount of time.  The purpose of these homes are to prevent people from relapsing.

Why not just go home?  In most cases, the home of a person who’s addicted to drugs or alcohol is detrimental to their sobriety.  Their current living situation may encourage them to continue using.  Recovery homes put rules and regulations in place to prevent relapse as well as set up the guest with a comfortable living space and group of people having the same struggle to communicate with.  Studies have shown that those who attended sober living homes have had a much higher chance of not relapsing than those who went straight home.

Admissions Process

If you feel as though sober living is right for you, contact us today via phone or the contact form below.

We will schedule or a phone interview to get to know who you are, where you are on your road to recovery, and how we can help.

We will then schedule an in-person meeting to help establish goals and find out what you will need for your stay here.  Guests will also have to undergo a drug screening at this time.

We will use this information to develop an individualized care plan for you.  No two stories of addiction are the same and it is very important each person is put under a care plan that will work for them.

During your stay, we’ll have occasional progress checks to see where you are mentally and find out what else we can do to help.  Once you are ready to leave, we will create a discharge plan that will help you stay sober and free from drug and alcohol abuse moving forward.
